Installed these engine and trans skids from OKX a couple months ago and really like them so far. I live in a very salty environment so aluminium was a necessity and I want to keep the truck light so the weight savings is a plus. The only thing I was slightly worried about was the strength since...
Awesome to hear! Just went through my free changes and it's all garage work from here. Maybe I'll have them do the trans fluid at 30k but we'll see haha. Very easy job on this truck though. One if the best layouts on a modern vehicle I've seen. Gotta love Toyota.
Went on my First trip after Installing the Peak Summit kit! This includes their upper control arms to correct the caster angle, two spacer options for the rear, a front spring spacer and front strut spacer all resulting in about 2'' of lift. I personally got the bigger lift option in the rear so...

Of course! Yup exactly wanna keep her rust free. The product they usually use is called woolwax or fluid film and it's a wax based undercoat not paint.
Yeah I get it. The wax protection is super messy if you have to work on the truck and has to be applied yearly but I wish it was an option at my dealer. No where around here offers undercoating even though it's salty as hell haha
Yeah washing the underside of the truck after evey time they put salt on the roads is best. You can also get your truck undercoated with a lanolin based product. This is the most protective solution.
285/70/17 should fit on 0 offset wheels without any lift. My truck doesn’t have any lift and I found out later these are actually -12 offset wheels so 0 offset would be even safer
Was washing the truck today and noticed there's already some pretty good frame rust starting. I know it's just surface rust but keep in mind this truck is less than a year old and has 11k miles on it. I love th new boxed frame as it's wayyyy stiffer than the 3rd gen and it's cool they put rust...
