4G Tacoma 6-Speed Manual – Who Went Old School

Yeah that's pretty standard with manuals in low range. The trans has a lot more leverage over the drive train so any small throttle application or shift feels like a big jolt in the cab unless you're a rev matching god haha.

4G Tacoma 6-Speed Manual – Who Went Old School

Yours is manual? That's awesome! I'm a die hard manual fan. Most cars I've had have been manual including my current daily a 2002 toyota echo. For the truck I chose auto though. It's a road trip and trail rig for me and the new safety sense cruise control system is amazing. It's basically self...

BYND 4X4 Camper For 4G Tacoma - Best One Out There!

Yeah honestly a huge part of what it comes down to is just what company is closest to you or how much you want to spend shipping an item the size of a small car haha.

PRP Seat Covers For The 4G Tacoma!

So I actually installed these covers about four months ago now so thought I'd post a semi long term review. Overall they've been exactly what I expected. High quality stitching, materials and fitment. I did have to retighten the front seat bottoms after it started getting warm here but PRP...

Dobinsons Springs For 4G Tacoma - Installation & Review

Very interesting. Did you get the truck weighed at all? We almost always had to go up a spring with the dirtboxes. They say like 340-400 lbs for the for the mid size truck camper but we found they were almost always high 400's to mid 500's everything said and done. You also have to consider the...

BYND 4X4 Camper For 4G Tacoma - Best One Out There!

Also the dirt box would be almost exactly 14k for me to have it shipped installed taxes etc. The BYND was $8,500 after everything out the door so $5,500 cheaper for basically the same outcome. This is a big reason I didn't go with any other brand too. They do not cost what the MSRP is. It's...

BYND 4X4 Camper For 4G Tacoma - Best One Out There!

Lone peak doesn’t have an official option for the 4g yet at least from what I’ve seen. I also believe it wouldn’t be installed until the end of the year and there were no install places close to me. I got the BYND a week after I called them and it was less than a two hour drive. Lone peak still...

BYND 4X4 Camper For 4G Tacoma - Best One Out There!

After over a year of looking for a wedge style camper for my truck and considering over 50 different options I settled on BYND 4x4. The biggest reason for this was it's the only option I could find that is specifically designed for the 4G Tacoma with the little wing off the rear of the cab. All...

    Ridiculous Rear Travel 2024 Tacoma

Has anyone else played around with the rear travel on the new Tacos? While installing new springs the other day I disconnected the shocks, sway bar and made slack in all the lines only to be shock by the amount of droop this thing has. With some extended lines, sway bar links, panhard and long...

Wheel Offset For "Poke" and 295 Tires

+20 will be basically flush depending on the tire size you go with. You can go as wide as you want with these trucks and that offset and not have to trim/very minimal trimming. I'll include a picture of my truck on 0 offset wheels and 35" 12.5 tires. Hope this helps!

Dobinsons Springs For 4G Tacoma - Installation & Review

REASON: The rear end of my 4G wasn't as high as I would like it and didn't feel properly supported with my new BYND camper Even with the Peak 2.5" spacer so I bought a set of Dobinsons springs for the rear to solve both these problems. NOTES: When buying Dobinsons you almost always want to spec...

Fox 3.0 Internal Bypass For 4G Tacoma Installation & Review

Hey everyone! I installed the new Fox 3.0's on the front of my Tacoma the other day and thought I'd share my thoughts. REASON: The main reason for this upgrade was the front of my tacoma with all the added weight especially with the bumper and winch was sitting too low even after the peak...

Auto Tailgate Already Broken 2024 Tacoma - FIX!

Kinda not really haha. Taking out those bump stops has been the best solution so far. I 3d printed out some new shorter bump stops and they worked great for a while but then after I did a pretty good trail with some buddies the tailgate started acting up again so back to prototyping for me. Once...
