Kinda not really haha. Taking out those bump stops has been the best solution so far. I 3d printed out some new shorter bump stops and they worked great for a while but then after I did a pretty good trail with some buddies the tailgate started acting up again so back to prototyping for me. Once...
Hell yeah, do you have any idea if the o ring to thread distance is the same? If it's not oil will just go around the filter and not get filtered as it won't have proper engagement of the threads.
So I went for it! After telling myself I wouldn't do 35s for a couple years I decided screw it and couldn't be happier with them but not everyone should do it.
Overall very impressed with how the truck handles the bigger tires. Doesn't feel sluggish or like it needs a regear at all. Off road...
Installed these engine and trans skids from OKX a couple months ago and really like them so far. I live in a very salty environment so aluminium was a necessity and I want to keep the truck light so the weight savings is a plus. The only thing I was slightly worried about was the strength since...
Awesome to hear! Just went through my free changes and it's all garage work from here. Maybe I'll have them do the trans fluid at 30k but we'll see haha. Very easy job on this truck though. One if the best layouts on a modern vehicle I've seen. Gotta love Toyota.
Went on my First trip after Installing the Peak Summit kit! This includes their upper control arms to correct the caster angle, two spacer options for the rear, a front spring spacer and front strut spacer all resulting in about 2'' of lift. I personally got the bigger lift option in the rear so...
Possibly! The latch location can be an issue but if you change that then the tailgate won't sit flush with the fenders. I'm almost done with a fix. Get back to everyone soon!
Of course! Yup exactly wanna keep her rust free. The product they usually use is called woolwax or fluid film and it's a wax based undercoat not paint.
Yeah I get it. The wax protection is super messy if you have to work on the truck and has to be applied yearly but I wish it was an option at my dealer. No where around here offers undercoating even though it's salty as hell haha
Yeah washing the underside of the truck after evey time they put salt on the roads is best. You can also get your truck undercoated with a lanolin based product. This is the most protective solution.
