I'm new to the forum and I want to offer my apologies for making my first thread about an issue.
So my ‘22 TRD Sport’s spare tire winch is a pain—super stiff and takes forever to lower at 9k miles. Lubed it with WD-40, helped a bit, but still a workout. Anyone else deal with this?
I’m worried it’ll seize up when I really need it. Saw a YouTube vid about replacing the winch cable for $50—worth it?
Or is there a trick to loosen it? I’m mostly city driving, but trails are in my future. Share your fixes or if you upgraded the winch system. Don’t wanna be stuck roadside.
