I had quite a few people on IG get on my case about these SXTH Element recovery points being aluminum. That it wouldn't be strong enough, yada yada...

I obviously put them on anyway and did a good amount of recoveries with both the front and rear. I also dragged both sets over big boulders, repeatedly. The rears took some solid drops off decent-sized ledges.

And, they held up just fine. Of course, you drag anything that weighs as much as a truck over a small metal point, and you're going to take off paint. That's to be expected. No corrosion (rust) thanks to the aluminum construction. But did I have any frame damage, or any cracked aluminum? Nope. Glad to see it firsthand.

If you're looking for a set, I can tell you they've been tested, haha. Probably more than most.

I only took them off because my new high clearance bumpers cover the mounting locations and they have their own recovery points.

A good first mod. Especially the rear set, because few trucks come with them. Upgrading the fronts help too. Plus, they look cool haha.
