If you’ve been following my last few posts, you know I’ve been running the ARB OME MT64 kit and have been super happy with it. Most of my focus has been on highlighting the shocks, so I wanted to do a separate post highlighting the UCAs that I’ve paired with them. The beauty of the MT64 kit, as well as ARB's suspension lineup, is you can buy the individual pieces of the kit, i.e., shocks, UCAs, springs, depending on what your need may be.
Upper Control Arms are a must-buy when lifting your truck. The moment you raise the vehicle over 1-2", you’re changing the suspension geometry, and the stock UCAs just don’t quite have the adjustment needed to make it work within reason. They also tend to wear faster.
Adjustability: Helps with alignment and better articulation on lifted trucks. Gets things back to OEM specs and ideal numbers for things like caster.
Serviceability: These arms, just like every moving part on a car, will have wear and tear over time, so being able to service the components is huge. These have grease fittings both on the ball joint with dust covers to prevent total exposure to the elements. The inner bushings are maintenance-free.
I’ve had no issues with these and think they’re a great option for control arms, even if you’re not running ARB suspension, as they’re usually a universal fit and compatible with other brands of shocks.
