Installed Dongar Pro Cam on my Truck. Definitely Worth the Hype

Installed the Dongar Pro parking adapter just yesterday. Definitely recommend this setup; taps into power under plastic shroud behind rear view (for homelink equipped trims) and has 3 modes: Ignition, infinite, and 4 hours.

Infinite will run continuously until low voltage is read by unit and then shut off. 4 hours will record for 4 hours after ignition is off, or low voltage is read, whichever comes first. Ignition mode turns cam on/off with the truck.

Install was easy with the help of Dongar customer service (A++ for them btw). With this adapter you don’t need to tap into a fuse box to enable recording while parked. Game changer.

I have a similar setup. Downside is the annoying sudden chirping of the Dongar Pro. I have the Garmin Mini. I hope there’s a fix for it soon.

Yes, I've heard some complaints concerning the chirping. Haven't really experienced it yet and hopefully I might not have to. Nonetheless, not a bad idea if there's a solution for it.
