Has anyone tried to fit larger tires specially on the Trailhunter? All the posts I’ve seen are for fitting tires onto a TRD OR, often with a lift. The TH has its own lift and wheel offset and it doesn’t translate from what an OR can handle. I’m wondering if I can put on 275/70/18s, 285/70/18s, or 295/70/18s with no mods and without removing the crash pad just behind the wheel. If anyone has experience with this please let me know!

Not yet. Im waiting for portals to be released from 74Weld and will go for 37"x12.5x17 yokohama Geolandar MT G003

Doesn't the trailhunter come with 33s? I imagine you might be able to run 34s (with a little rubbing) or 35s (with a bit more). Either way, I've seen people run up to a 35 without many issues.

Did you get a set?!
just seen the notification. The trainhunter comes with 33", i did some research online and majority of people who going for 35" later go for 37". I think there was a guy with trailhunter on youtube you got 35" with no issues. I didnt get a set yet, i was planing to get portals, but some plans changed, but will get portals for sure in 6 months or s. Portals though you can fit 40" :)

I fit 35s on mine with just removing the crash plates, and +35 Methods. I will be publishing more info on the tire stuff on my channel next week.
Do you know the offset for the standard Trailhunter rims? Wanting to put 285/75 or 35/12.5 but want to see if it have to budget for new rims too.

This is what i found Trailhunter 18 x 8.5 with a +25 offset. 265/70R18 tires. Here is info for 74Weld portals for new tacoma adds 2.7 inches per side with Method 703 +35 38x13.5x17. With +45 it will be 2.3 inches and the true lift is about 4" (3.88")

I have seen several guys online put 35's on their Trailhunter without changing anything. Or at least claiming there is no rubbing.
I'm getting a set of 35x1250x18 tomorrow. I'll take pics and let you all know how it goes.

35's and for the record there is a little bit of rubbing.
But the ride is nice, not noisy, and I really like the way it looks. I'm happy with it so far.
