24 Crewcab Hybrid TRD Premium - Bronze Oxide
Throughout the years I've realized that a lot of the time less is more. So when I got my Tacoma I decided to stick with the OEM wheels that came with the Off-Road premium package and just get them powder coated. I like the 18 inch size and overall wheel architecture.

But I really didn't care for the two tone black and silver rim look. So I had them locally powder coated a Copper/Bronze. I know the bronze/gold wheel setup might be overdone, especially considering the Trailhunter gold wheels, but I think these look way better.

I think it's a killer setup and totally changes the look of the wheel, while complimenting the Bronze Oxide color well.

And FYI.....getting any wheels powder coated costs a lot less than new wheels.

Let me know what you think.....yay or nay? Thanks.

I really like it! Nice touch. It's way different. First person I've seen do something like this. I like these factory wheels a lot, too. I upgraded mine, but I think Toyota did a good job.

I might have gone a little bit more towards a darker bronze, with some darker pigments. But that's just me. Looks great as is, though. Seems like they change a bit, too, based on the way the sun hits them.

You're absolutely right....the amount of light hitting the various angles and shadows within the wheel design does dictate the various "shades" of the copper/bronze color and how they present.

Brake dust will also inevitably darken them up too.
