In my 2025 DC, I have Sony ES 6 1/2" coaxials to mount in the rear doors. Aftermarket company Metra brackets are too thick at 7/8". Does anyone know of a shallower depth of mounting plate?
Crutchfield only sells Metra and their advice, since our 4Gs are still basically new, is to search for a shallower bracket. Depth of the speaker is fine, no issues. However, due to the thickness of the mounting bracket, the door panel will have a bulge in it when reassembled.
