Tacoma Can Definitely Get Better With Their Infortainment System

One of the few issues I've had with my truck is their infotainment system. It's really not the best out there, and they can certainly do better. For instance, I did have to regularly reconnect my phone after starting my truck. It took me a while before finding a fix for it.

So when you get into the truck after remote start, just push in and hold the volume knob for a second; the display will reboot and CarPlay will connect. It's way simpler than going into settings and faffing about and will become second nature for you.

If you're also having this kind of trouble with your truck, you can try out this fix. Shouldn't be a hard one.

I'll have to give this a shot. Especially since I have had issues even trying to manually connect to CarPlay, after remote start, that I just end up turning the truck off and back on again.

You're not the first to mention this as other owners do have issues with carplay too. I just hope Toyota improves in that area

It would make sense to me to change the functionality so when remote starting just don't search for devices to connect until the drive presses the ignition button.
