Any put a roof rack on a 4G yet? Any idea of they can fit a 3G roof rack?
I went from a 2nd Gen to a 3rd Gen and there wasn't really much I could swap. Was wondering if Toyota was gonna tap into the aftermarket work faster by designing the trucks to have similar fitting aftermarket parts.
What steps do you take to manage fuel consumption during extended off-road trips?
I carry a 5 gallon jerry can, and I've never NEEDED it, I've just used it because I don't like driving out in the middle of nowhere looking at 1/4 of a tank.
I drive full time without a sway bar, I haven't had to make any evasive maneuvers, but I can tell I'm not gonna have a good time if I need to do any true evasive driving. An electronic sway bar would be so nice.
Have you tried different driving modes (e.g., Eco mode) to see how they impact fuel consumption?
And what is your experienced fuel milage versus the advertised?
I've been pretty fond of the Meguiar's New Car Scene Protectant Spray, it seems to have the closest to new car smell for my, but is anyone using anything different if you're not fond of the New Car Smell small?
I have the 3rd Gen now, I went from a 2nd Gen and there was a stark difference in technology. Has anyone gone from a 3rd Gen to a 4th Gen and noticed something like that? Is there big differences or is it just updated tech from the 3rd Gen?
I've seen the 4th Gen in person once, I really liked the look of the side door pockets. Are they actually bigger or did it seem bigger because it didn't have all my regular crap in it?
Has anyone noticed if mounting points for accessories are the same?
I had a 2nd Gen tacoma that was totaled, and I was able to swap over very little, was wondering if any 3rd Gen to 4th Gen owners noticed how much compatibility there is between the two?
