    2024 Tacoma Oil Change Guide!

A little update. I was warned Toyota might disco the -10010. They did, and the part number has been superseded to 90915-YZZN3. I checked with my local dealer. They did not have any -10010 on the shelf, and there were none in the USA within Toyota's distribution.

    Rock Sliders

Traditional sliders are tube, and maybe steps. I went a different direction than tradition, and installed the sliders from Victory 4x4. One warning. Part of the install uses 'nut tabs.' Put some tubing on the handle so they don't drop into the frame. The bolts that come with the nut tabs are too...

The bottom of the N1 and the F1 are identical. O-ring is the same diameter. I thought I took a picture, but I didn't. With the -10010 the bottom flange is different, with oval holes instead of round. O-ring is the same spacing as the other three.

For those who think the lawnmower-sized N1 filter is a joke, the larger 90915-YZZF1 fits. The V6 filter used on the Tundra and Sequoia also fits, 90915-10010, and is just slightly smaller than the F1.

    New Wet Okole Seat Covers

I seem to recall they started to look like crap after about 5 years. Keep in mind that this was the passenger side and had very little seat time. The driver's side was worse.

    New Wet Okole Seat Covers

I will never own another set of Wet Okole seat covers. They don't last and it doesn't take much time before they look like crap. Here are the cover I had in my 4R. I have another set in my FJ40. It's been garaged since they were installed and they also look like crap.

Has anyone tried a Carbon Off-road winch?

Right now the going rate seems to be in the $400 range.

Has anyone tried a Carbon Off-road winch?

I bought that winch for $200 off FB Marketplace without rope. Rope was $200. XP motor was optional.

Has anyone tried a Carbon Off-road winch?

Never heard of this winch. I'm partial to Warn. Not just any Warn, but the USA made classic winches. Easy to fix if necessary. Parts are available from everywhere. Upgradable. The M8000 with 6hp xp motor, syn rope, and upgrade contactor on my Gen1 4R.

Free mapping program to help Americans navigate BLM public lands

I was just sent word about this app. I've been using the Forest Service Visitor Map app for several years and have found it useful for navigating our Forest Service lands. It's not perfect, but still useful. I just installed the BLM app on my tablet and haven't used it yet in the weeds...

Voided all the warranties on the rear

I've been going back and forth between the 819 vs 821. How much lift did you get, and how much weight are you carrying? I'm going to have around a thousand pounds with bumper and camper and I'm aiming for around 1-1.5" lift. Also, how do they ride?
