    Dyno Tuned Today

After Cam did a driveway tune on Saturday we went for a putt. The first thing I noticed was throttle response from a standing stop. With the 285/70's and the camper the truck was a slug to get moving. Not any more. The difference between before and after was huge. The truck has a lot more pep...

    Dyno Tuned Today

Cam starts with the Cobb AccessPort which plugs into the service port under the dash. You would need to visit his website for details. As I understand it, Cobb has a tune in the AccessPort for the Gen4 Tacoma that can be bought. But, Cam has the ability to tune the engine further on the dyno...

    Dyno Tuned Today

I had my TRD-OR 6MT dyno tuned today by https://www.camtuningperformance.com/. Cam came over to the house on Saturday after a club breakfast, and did a minor tune on my truck. Today, he did his dyno tune. I was pleased after the minor tune he did on Saturday. I was super impressed driving home...

I forgot to update this. I made two modifications to the bumper before I sent it to powder. I installed a SAE port so I can plug in my Zamp solar panel in camp. It turns out, it also works well for plugging in my Viair compressor. The other modification was to install a winch plug using the Warn...

Thanks. This was a short trip. I had a sister move to Cedar City and I went out for a visit. I took the scenic way getting there.

Two Weeks Out West With The 4G Tacoma - Colorado, Wyoming, Montana & Idaho

I agree, that was a big hit to the mileage. I'm running 285/70-17 Wildpeaks. My camper is a Dirtbox that weighs around 500#. Plus, all the junk I toss in. I averaged 17.3mpg over 13K miles on a trip to western Canada and Alaska.

Two Main Complaints When Off-Roading My 4th Gen

I also have a Gen1 4Runner. My Tacoma will never, ever, replace the 4R off-road. My 4R will go places the Tacoma could only dream of. The Tacoma is too long, too wide, and too low to be taken seriously off-road.

Alcan Spring: Coil Spring To Leaf Pack Conversion Kit For 4th Gen Tacoma

You are a mind reader. I had the same thought. If I decide to go that direction I will give them a call, or drive up to Grande Junction and show them the issue. I think there is an easy solution.
