This 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road came into 8Runner Off-Road ready for a proper upgrade. The plan was simple: lift it, fit 285s, and lock in the geometry so it performs the way it should on and off the trail.
We started with a Westcott Designs collar lift, which leveled the stance and gave the truck the clearance needed for bigger tires. To make sure everything aligned correctly, we added Total Chaos upper control arms a key step for dialing in caster and maximizing suspension performance.
With the foundation set, we mounted a set of 285/75R17 Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs on Fuel Piston wheels in Bronze (+25 offset). The combo gives the Tacoma a wider, more aggressive footprint with plenty of bite for rough terrain.
