Can The Hybrid Powertrain Run Without A Working Battery?

Forgive me if this is a dumb questions. Let's say you have the new TRD Pro. 10 years have passed and now the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. Will the truck run if the battery is dead with just less hp and torque?
I'm just curious as I'm not too knowledgeable about hybrids and my google searches don't seem to help.

These systems are getting more and more complex. I wouldn't be surprised if the truck went into "limp mode" without a working battery...
