I own a 2007 Pre runner TRD Sport.

The difference between the 2nd Gen and the 4th Gen. it’s like a night and day.

I want to upgrade but right now my Tacoma is doing well. This year I replaced the rotors, calipers and brakes with new oem.

I will say, the old brakes were way over due. It had 1mm thickness .

I do like the 2.5 Gen.

Can never go wrong with 2nd Gen and yessir the two are completely different animals with different intentions.
