Low Profile (LoPro) Bumpers for the 4th Gen Tacoma.. Which One is best? Hey guys, wanted to draft up a thread on the top low-profile bumpers for the 4th Gen Tacoma. We're starting to see A LOT of options on the market, and I wanted to see what your thoughts were and which one you're potentially going with. There are lots of things to consider when looking at a low-profile bumper: weight, strength, steel vs. aluminum, winch compatibility, light cutouts, sensor compatibility, etc. 1: C4 Fabrication Lo Pro The C4 Lo-Pro is one of the most rugged low-profile bumpers for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Built from 3/16" steel with fully welded 3/4" recovery D-rings, it comes in around 74 lb and gives you a high-strength, minimal design. It’s offered in black powder coat or bare steel if you want to customize, and it’s compatible with mostwinches that don’t have an integrated control box. The bumper is also set up around a pair of Baja Designs S2 lights. You can also add optional outer wings if you want more coverage and clearance. It adds aggressive styling while giving you real functionality. One option that makes it stand out is the bolt-on bull bar. It’s a good add if you want more protection for the grille and radiator, especially if you’re running rocky trails with brush, crossings, or just want a spot to mount lights up higher. The bumper itself weighs about 77 lb and is built around a wide 32" light bar cutout. This 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road came into 8Runner Off-Road for a suspension overhaul. The owner wanted something that could handle bigger tires down the road and also tighten up how the truck feels both on pavement and on trails.

Upgrades installed:

Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2R Lift Kit – Gives the Tacoma the clearance it needs for larger tires and adds a noticeable improvement in suspension performance.
Total Chaos Upper Control Arms – Critical for correcting caster after a lift, these UCAs let us get the alignment right, cut down on rubbing, and improve steering feel.
Alignment + Setup – Everything was dialed in so the truck drives straight and handles properly with the new geometry.

The combo of Eibach 2R and Total Chaos UCAs is something we recommend because it balances capability and comfort. You get better articulation on the trail, more ground clearance, and a truck that’s still easy to live with every day.

This Tacoma is now sitting right where it should be lifted, corrected, and ready for larger tires when the time comes.
