I’ve been looking at that tailgate assist kit on Amazon for the 2024+ Tacoma. My tailgate loves to slam down if I’m not paying attention, and this looks like an easy fix.

I like the idea of it being a quick bolt-on, but I’m wondering how well it actually holds up after some real use. Gas struts can get weak fast if they’re not built right.

Has anyone here installed one yet? Worth it, or better off skipping and waiting for a stronger option?
