Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share some info for those looking at ditch light options for the 2024+ Tacoma. Full transparency, I work for Diode Dynamics, but I also spend a lot of time in these forums and wanted to give some real context rather than a sales pitch.
Back in July 2024, we released the C2 2.0 LED Pods, which are a compact 2-inch option designed specifically with low-profile applications like ditch lights in mind. Despite their size, they use our latest TIR optic design to focus light where it’s actually useful instead of just throwing raw brightness. These are designed, engineered, and assembled at our headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.
For the 4th gen Tacoma, the kit is vehicle-specific and truly bolt-on. If you’re comfortable with basic wiring, it’s a straightforward install, and even if you’re not, it’s one of the easier auxiliary light installs out there. Everything fits cleanly and keeps a factory-like look without sticking up too high off the hood.
What makes the C2 2.0 stand out for ditch light use is the updated combo optic, the max power level available for this pod size, and the amber backlighting option. The backlight is especially nice if you’re already running other Stage Series products and want everything to match visually without being overpowering.
If you want to see how they look and perform on a 4th gen Tacoma, here’s a short clip:
If anyone has questions or wants more technical detail, I’m happy to help where I can.
