I really hope some of the tuners will chime in here and give some insight on possibilities and outcomes.
I WANT MORE POWA!
My experience is from 20 years ago so likely antiquated and obsolete. I had a Suby STi and we tuned it by creating up to 5 separate "maps". Maybe you'd do 93 daily map, 93 aggro, 100 map, and 100 track day aggressive map.
The maps were made by a tuner who would read the info in real time on the laptop while you were on a dyno or driving.
Questions:
Now we have a similar powerplant with the 2.4 turbo is it tunable?
Can we expect to see similar gains based on the same mods? For example: If I upgrade my turbo, downpipe, add an intercooler, intake and exhaust, will I see the same significant up in power like is my assumption?

How does the hybrid affect this?

Can the electric motor be coordinated to work with the tune? How would that work?

Can the tunes be made custom to your truck, based on mods, gas, altitude, etc? Or would they be generic assumptions templates?

What are the tools we can expect to see as the best to work with this system? Utech, Ecutek, Cobb, HP Tuners, or?

When we will see some options?

I imagine someone will come out with a tune. It just depends on how much access Toyota allows to computer in these new trucks. I had a tune on my 3G. Used both the KDMax and the OTT, settled on the latter. I would reach out to them and see what's coming. It was great because it was able to account for things like tires and gears as well. I saw someone released one for the twin turbo V6s on the Tundra with some impressive numbers.

I also saw someone who was selling a module that claimed like 70 more horsepower and a good amount more torque. But with the turbo, some of these worry me a bit. Simply adding more boost to the turbo sounds good, but I imagine there's a fine line for maintaining reliability and longevity.

Here is one option to consider: JB4 Tuner Still pretty new product, so not much info out there on it yet it seems.

Good luck!

That's the module I saw. I think... lol. But imagine having an engine issue and you roll up and they see this installed. I would think it would be an instant void. Probably for engine and transmission. Does look impressive though. Those numbers look really good. Brand looks legit, but I need to learn more. But with the hybrid... imagine 400 hp and over 500 ft-lb of torque... Insane!

Warranty void was the first thing that went through my mind as well. Woof...

Yeah this is one you're not gonna be able to argue haha. Maybe I can be convinced it's safe, I just need a lot of data and discussion.

Okay after reading their FAQ page and exchanging a couple emails with their support team I feel like I have a handle on the product.
If it is all true, and works as described, it seems pretty bad ass. And tuning in conjunction with this seems like the hottest set up.
Now that said, let's see if I blow up if I get one. Lol

Are you going to buy a unit?

I'm still researching, but if I can make the right determinations and clarify some things as true, it seems likely.
I'm usually game to push the envelope lol

My man. Lol. That would make a lot of people feel better about it. Independent dyno might be cool too. Where are you located? Just roughly speaking. Maybe we're close enough to meet up if you do pull the trigger haha.

I'm in Asheville NC. If I get it I may go down to SXTH Element and get their insights and help. There's a good squad of smart guys who care about the outcomes there. I've felt really good about my transactions there thus far.
