I really hope some of the tuners will chime in here and give some insight on possibilities and outcomes.
I WANT MORE POWA!
My experience is from 20 years ago so likely antiquated and obsolete. I had a Suby STi and we tuned it by creating up to 5 separate "maps". Maybe you'd do 93 daily map, 93 aggro, 100 map, and 100 track day aggressive map.
The maps were made by a tuner who would read the info in real time on the laptop while you were on a dyno or driving.
Questions:
Now we have a similar powerplant with the 2.4 turbo is it tunable?
Can we expect to see similar gains based on the same mods? For example: If I upgrade my turbo, downpipe, add an intercooler, intake and exhaust, will I see the same significant up in power like is my assumption?
How does the hybrid affect this?
Can the electric motor be coordinated to work with the tune? How would that work?
Can the tunes be made custom to your truck, based on mods, gas, altitude, etc? Or would they be generic assumptions templates?
What are the tools we can expect to see as the best to work with this system? Utech, Ecutek, Cobb, HP Tuners, or?
When we will see some options?
