Curious how this went. We’re got able to get enough power from the OEM AUX switch to trigger the locker?

Trailhunter On 74Weld Portals: 1000 Mile Update

1000 miles on portals - here's the truth so far: The stance is unreal. With +45 mm offset wheels, they sit pertectly—no awkward poke like some long-travel kits. The power hit surprised me. 2300 rpm at 90 mph and the truck pulls harder than stock. Didn't expect that. MPG dropped a bit (~14→12)...

Mounting 37” Spare + Full Size Jack In The Bed - Any Options?

Not really a wannabe pre-runner guy, and I don’t want a rear bumper swing out… Has anyone seen any spare tire + jack setups for the 4th gen bed yet? I’d like to keep it flat against the bed to keep the rear view clear. Can ask around for someone to custom fab, but curious what y'all are doing...

Method 74W207 Wheels - High Offset Made For Portal Axles

Bunch more posts to come of the recent changes to the truck, but thought I’d post an initial on these new wheels I’m running from Method X 74Weld. Needed something with very high offset to pair well with 74weld portals that would support going very low PSI. Decided to go with the Dakar inspired...

24/25 Tacoma 17” wheel brake line recall

Bummer. “The rear brake hoses in the subject vehicles can be damaged over time if there is enough build-up of mud and dirt inside the rear wheels from operating under certain off-road conditions. This can result in a brake fluid leak, increasing the risk of crash.”...

Coming soon: Tacoma Trailhunter Westcott Preload Collar Lift Kit

I had the same experience, once the suspension settled. The Westcott kit will not fix this. You are right in that a collar preload kit like the one Westcott offers will put more load on the spring, which is how the lift is achieved. Where exactly are you rubbing? For my Toyo AT3 35x12.5x18 I...

From the desert to the frozen mountains of Montana in 48 hours: GFC V2 Pro initial thoughts

What an epic journey. Drove from Phoenix AZ beginning on Thursday for a Saturday afternoon install at the Manhattan, MT location. Around 35 hours, 2300 miles. Drove through some light snow and lots of ice over Big Sky Friday and raced back home to beat the snow coming down in Flagstaff AZ Monday...

OME front lower shock bushings failing already

Anyone else seeing the shock bushings failing already? Happened on both my fronts, barely at 8K miles and only mild slow/speed forest road and easy trails in Arizona. Ended upgrading to Kings 2.5” adjustable front and rear. Will see if Toyota will warranty when they’re off the truck, they’re...

Coming soon: Tacoma Trailhunter Westcott Preload Collar Lift Kit

Did you ever end up upgrading the rear springs? I just got a GFC installed this weekend and am definitely gonna sag once I’m loaded up. I had only medium amount of gear for this trip and was pretty level. As soon as I add water, cooking gear, fridge etc it’s gonna sag.
