About to pull the trigger on Fox's 3.2 Live Valve for my Trailhunter. $8,495 out of my own pocket, no sponsorship. Currently running custom valved Kings with reservoir adjusters — they perform great, but my usage is all over the place and I'm tired of the compromise.

No experience with the C4 but if you’re wanting something to compare it to I did a writeup here on the CBI Stealth. Learn from my mistakes and make sure you don’t have any of these problems with the C4. 😭...
If you think a tune is just about cranking up the boost and making more power, this post might change your mind. I've been running a custom calibration from Cam at CAMTuning Performance on my Trailhunter for thousands of miles and the gap between a proper custom cal and an off-the-shelf map is...
The 2400W inverter on the i-FORCE MAX Tacoma sounds amazing on paper. And honestly, 90% of the time it IS amazing. I've been running a Starlink Mini off the bed outlet full time for 32,000 miles — streaming, camping, highway, rock trails. Temps from -15°F to 118°F.
But there's one scenario...
what offset wheels you gonna be running with these? looks badass! you're running factory caster/camber with the portals you have coming, the adjustability is nice but you'll want to stick to OEM geometry.
congrats dude! let me know if you have any questions. aside from kristian at 74weld i might have the most portal miles on a 4th gen tacoma. 🫡 if you’ve got a tuner make sure they help tune 1st gear right, out of the box tunes need some work for the great reductions you’re getting with portals...
Dude! Love your IG. The guy I worked with at Cam Tuning has tuned subarus for 20+ years. Hes a wealth of knowledge, I still text him back and forth post install about different ideas. Obviously there's some unknowns here, if you run a custom tune that pushes the turbo too hard and something...
Build Update: Ditched the Heim Joint Links for 74Weld Billet Flex Joints
Been a minute since I posted an update here. This one has been brewing for a while and I wanted to share the full story because I think a lot of people in the 4th gen community are making the same decision I was facing...
The CBI Offroad Covert front bumper has been on the Trailhunter for about a year now. It's been through snow, sand, rocks, and thousands of miles of highway. This is a real-world review — not a sponsored promo piece with perfect lighting and zero complaints. There are things I love about this...

1000 miles on portals - here's the truth so far:
The stance is unreal. With +45 mm offset wheels, they sit pertectly—no awkward poke like some long-travel kits.
The power hit surprised me. 2300 rpm at 90 mph and the truck pulls harder than stock. Didn't expect that.
MPG dropped a bit (~14→12)...
Not really a wannabe pre-runner guy, and I don’t want a rear bumper swing out… Has anyone seen any spare tire + jack setups for the 4th gen bed yet? I’d like to keep it flat against the bed to keep the rear view clear. Can ask around for someone to custom fab, but curious what y'all are doing...
