I recently moved and shoved everything into my new taco and I think I exceeded the payload haha. My truck is rated for 1,250lbs and I believe I had close to 2k lbs in it and a bike hanging off the back which lead to it ridding on bump stops the whole drive. It was honestly fine besides the big bumps where I could feel the lack of any suspension travel. Definitely noted though that if you plan on hauling a lot go with the non off road models as they have higher payload or plan on putting in stiffer springs.

I’d think too, getting a trailer would help offset some of that weight. Obviously not loading the bed to the max.

yup for sure. This was just a three hour drive so I wasn't too worried but it's cool to see the limits of the suspension.
