2025 TRD Pro Mud Bath Build Thread - @mudbathmania IG

What’s up guys! Gonna start a build thread here as I wish I had done with my 3GT. It was insane but I’m excited to start this next project.

I picked up my 4GT Pro on 10/8/25 and the first thing I did was the OTT tune at the dealership after signing the papers.

Next in the works will be a Goose gear rear seat delete, tint, wheels & tires. Stay tuned & follow us on IG!

Got the Goose Gear 60% seat delete installed also. Love the product but their instructions could use some work. You can read a short review, and quick installation tips here.

Overall, love the product. I think it’s so sleek. I had a DIY seat delete for my 3GT, so I already knew this was going to be on the top of my list to do.

Regarding the tint. Just picked up my pro yesterday. Never had side windows so tinted - don't know the % (one owner who turned it back into same dealer after 2000 miles (back seats!). Was driving it last night and my Gawd, turning - I get hardly any read from road (used to see w/ my side eye, so to speak) I felt "blind" till the turn was more completed and fully looking thru windshield. Is this just me? I guess I'll get used to it.... I'm willing to

Ya I finally ordered the other portion of it so I'll have the full 100% delete. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to come in. I'm sure Goose Gear got slammed with their black friday sale though.

Wheels are on the way as well. Obviously waiting on suspension for now for a couple things, but plan to upgrade it eventually. Then I plan to do some internal power mods, turbro upgrade, intercooler, trans cooler, downpipe exhaust etc. I plan to put a substantial amount of power with tuning it. I'm hoping to make it as much of a beast as my 3GT was.

Those will begin in the beginning of 2026. There's some behind the scenes things that need to happen with actual hardware first, but there's definitely some upgrades that can be done before that. Gonna be stoked to share it all come together.

My response on another forum:

Steep price.... but... to me, all the Chinese competition w/ panels that literally stick out, etc - just look clunky - like the Tacoma - nothing visually is Smart Caps equal w/ these tactical/assembled style caps. I had to have the Sport version w/ the windows - it's their most expensive. They had 5% off on their site - yeeehhaaw! They do have a guarantee if they have lower price w/in a year they will refund the difference (Recon Recovery). Btw, ordered it on a Tuesday - and shipper showed up next day w/ the shell - yes - that happened "warehouses around the country")

Putting it together was time consuming (have the proper torque wrench!) but satisfying (gotta scour that install video). Bunch of college boys next door at a bible study came over and helped me and my buddy lift it and put in on the Pro. Yeah, it looks damn good. It's clearly a case to me of buy once, cry once. Clips are super slick.

Had a day of rain, after install, plus hand held car wash - really no leaks to speak of (proper torque wrench!). I just know if I bought the cheaper ones (but most lack side windows anyway - total deal breaker for me), I'd be wondering about Smart cap.

The "tough" tactical look so marries w/ the design of the 4th Gen Tacoma. Leer and A.R.E... almost old man-ish looking now (Im 60!) . I had nice Leer on my 3rd Gen (they aren't cheap either, as you know)
