2025 TRD Pro Mud Bath Build Thread - @mudbathmania IG

Love it brotha! I ordered the same wheels a couple weeks ago in machined finish…so eager to get them. Let’s take pics together when they come in 🤙

I love the machined finish, I almost got them also. We got no doubt! What size tires you going with?

It’s always a tough choice but the bronze looks so good on the mud bath! Think I’ll do a 35

Got some updated pics of the RRW wheels on 37's

What’s up guys! Gonna start a build thread here as I wish I had done with my 3GT. It was insane but I’m excited to start this next project.

I picked up my 4GT Pro on 10/8/25 and the first thing I did was the OTT tune at the dealership after signing the papers.

Next in the works will be a Goose gear rear seat delete, tint, wheels & tires. Stay tuned & follow us on IG!

how do you like the OTT Tune, I have one on my now sold 3rd gen with 35's and that was a must. Picking up a TRD OR Prem next month and was wondering if its worth the $ or does the hybrid and turbo take care of it all?

Finally got my 40% portion of the Goose Gear seat delete in and installed.

Honestly 6/10 product. If i had to do it again, I would just make my own. They have a good product but I do have some minor complaints.

1. Their instructions are trash and incorrect which is inexcusable when myself and others I know have reached out to them about it.

2. For a product at this price point, I'd expect it to show up in A1 condition. I snagged a pic of slight damage to the product. It's still just as functional, but why send out something that's been chipped up already?

3. There is so much wasted cab space by keeping the delete so high off of the bottom section. I understand there's a battery components down there. Objectively looking at it - if the seats are on, there is a lot less room above the area. Plus, it's sealed the same - if not tighter by the seats and so on.

I will probably go on to modify it and bring the top plate down to sit flush with the bottom plastic. I'd like that extrea few inches in the cab. It will add up once you're packed out for a trip. Plus my dogs will be able to get in easier as it's pretty high right now. That's a project for another day though.

Upgraded turbo is officially in.

Installed it yesterday, hit the road, and noticed a coolant leak on the way home when I stopped for gas.

Ended up saying fuck it and pulled it back out myself. I’m a solid 3 out of 10 mechanic btw.

I replaced all the gaskets. Got it back in and it’s still leaking.

Finally narrowed it down to bad hoses or failing clamps, so tomorrow I’m replacing both hoses and all four clamps.

Gotta love the process and the knowledge you learn along the way. I’ve never done an install like this. I can knock out overland installs etc all day. Actual mechanic work in the engine bay? New world to me, but love to know what’s going on under my hood.

More to come. Enjoy the sneak peek for now 👀💥

Pretty juiced on this one man. I want more power! How much will this setup run? Roughly. Install aside.

So two different routes someone can go with this

Option one: Purchase the kit from turbokits.com and it’s $1695 before the core charge ($995) putting total at $2695 for checkout. They mail you one upfront & obviously when you send your old turbo in you’ll get the $995 back.

Option two: purchases a turbo from them outright and keep your oem one (I don’t see a reason for this honestly)

You can run this on a stock tune (not really recommended as you’ll be missing out on everything it was designed for) but tuning can run anywhere from 650-1300 depending on setup, method used to tune, etc. etc.

A downpipe is also recommended (mines on the way) which costs around 6-700 depending on the manufacturer.

Realistically around the 3k mark if I had to guess. I’ll have to tally it up once it’s all done.

Install honestly can be done in your driveway. You’ll need a couple obscure tools, but nothing major.
