Decided it was time to add some extra protection to the Tacoma. Huge thanks to AspireAutoAccessories for sending over their Aspire Pro Style Skid Plate for my Tacoma.

Since the truck is starting to see more trail time, protecting the engine and front underbody was definitely something I wanted to upgrade.
Compared to the stock skid plate on the 4th gen Tacoma, this one is a big improvement. The factory skid plate does its job for light protection, but it’s relatively thin and mainly designed for basic coverage.

The Aspire Pro Style Skid Plate feels much more solid and trail-ready. It provides...
  • Stronger protection for the engine area
  • Better durability for off-road impacts
  • More confidence when driving over rocks or rough terrain
  • A much more aggressive and clean look underneath the truck
Install was pretty straightforward and everything lined up nicely. As the Tacoma build continues to move more into trail and off-road use, upgrades like this definitely make a big difference in protecting the truck.

Big thanks again to AspireAutoAccessories for the support 🤝

Let me know what skid plates you guys are running on your 4th Gen Tacomas 👀

Dang! That's a super clean setup. Amazing shots. Looks great on your truck dude.

I'm running a full set of steel Cali Raised skid plates on mine. Definitely something to consider if you really plan on hitting the rocks. But that Pro skid is much better than the factory plastic.
