Figured this was an off-roading mod... So adding it to this section. The factory exhaust hangs SO LOW on these new Tacomas. After all these awesome off-road ready updates, we get an exhaust that almost touches the ground... Lol. It's not that bad, but it's a bit large and hangs too low. My last truck had a trimmed exhaust, but this seemed like a quick and easy solution. The main reason to get one is to prevent it from being demolished on the first ledge you drop off when going off-pavement. It could also flex into the bumper and scratch that as well. Pretty easy to install, just remove two bolts after the main muffler, and slide the tail pipe off two hangers, and it comes right out. Bolt on the new trail pipe with the same hardware and you're good to go. Also has a spot to connect to the factory hanger to maintain overall stability. Tons of room gained, a way cleaner look (IMO), and well priced at $100 (as of today). Oh, and without that little extra silencer right behind the exhaust tip, there is a subtly louder rumble when driving slower and at lower RPMs. This is not an exhaust, but it does sound a touch more aggressive. Recently installed the Cali Raised Bed Rack on my Taco and I'm loving it so far. Big improvement from the universal amazon one I had. I mainly like the modularity and build quality. You can mount anything your little overland heart desires on this thing due to the molle panels and the 4 cross bars, 2 going each way. So any tent ever made will mount up easy and you can throw traction boards, awnings, jacks, or for me cameras on the molle panels. it's rated for 1,000lbs and comes in three height variations. I just uploaded an install video if you want to check it out and I'll throw some pics down below. The build is really starting to look good!
