I recently installed the SS3 Pro pod lights on my 4th Gen Tacoma and wanted to share my honest thoughts for anyone considering them.
First off, the install was surprisingly easy. I had basically no prior experience wiring accessories on this truck, but the process was straightforward and didn’t take long at all. The brightness is seriously impressive for such a small light. These things really pack a punch. They’ve been awesome on trails, and I’ve especially noticed how useful they are in snowy and rainy conditions where visibility gets rough.

Another thing I was curious about before installing them was wind noise, but I honestly haven’t noticed any additional road noise from them. I also think they look great on the truck and fit the overall setup really well. Quality-wise, comparing them to other brands like Baja Designs, I personally don’t see a difference in build quality or performance.
Overall, I’m really happy with them and I’d absolutely buy them again. I’m actually planning on adding more Diode Dynamics lighting to the truck in the future.

Curious what lighting setups other people are running on their Tacomas.
