I just put this new sound setup in my truck, and even if big sound fans might not find it top-notch, for someone like me, I think it’s pretty decent. It definitely sounds better, which is something I've wanted for a while, instead of just sticking to Toyota's basic setup.

For installation, you can look at a couple of how-to videos, and here's my hint: Cover your whole screen with painter’s tape. Lay a tape strip under the stereo, then fix a thick blanket with duct tape to keep all safe, even the gearshift. As one guide says, take out the JBL center speaker (pull off the trim and take out four 10mm screws) to make room to angle the amp right.

You just have to unplug two wires behind the stereo. One video talks too much about pulling out the whole thing for no good reason. Use the right tool to pry to avoid marks, and get more sticky foam to hold the amp tight and quiet it down.

It sounds great, better than the Toyota setup. Anyone who loves to listen to the radio with better quality can look this up. It takes less than 2 hours to fix if you have the basic set of tools.
