2025 Tacoma TRD Offroad Long Bed Upgrade Package

Fog Light Buyers Guide for the 4th Gen Tacoma

I’ve been digging into lighting options for the new Tacoma and figured I’d throw together a guide. The stock lights work, but they don’t really shine (pun intended) if you’re out in bad weather or running trails at night. Fog light upgrades give you better function and style to the front of your rig.

Fog Lights vs Fang Lights

Fog Lights
  • Wide, low beam pattern built for cutting through fog, snow, rain, or dust
  • Mount in the factory fog pockets
  • Pure function and visibility boost
Fang Lights
Fang light buyers guide here: https://4gtaco.com/threads/fang-lights-for-4th-gen-tacoma.1285/
  • Accent lighting that fills the “fang” slots near the lower grille
  • Usually DRL, sequential turn, or amber/white accent modes
  • More about style, but they complement fogs really well
If you’re choosing one, fogs add the most function. If you want your truck to stand out and be seen, fang lights are the add-on for you.

Final Thoughts

I think fogs are the first upgrade worth doing, especially if you drive in bad weather or hit the trail at night. They’re one of those simple mods that you actually feel right away: clearer vision in rain, snow, or dust, and a wider spread of light that headlights alone can’t give you.

I second the Cali Raised. Got the amber/yellow as well. For the price and output, you can't beat it! They've been great and I've used them every day for months now with no issues.
