2025 Tacoma TRD Offroad
I just installed King shocks 2.5 with adjusters paired with Mazzulla upper control arms on my Tacoma, and I’m really excited about how the setup is coming together.

Just to be clear, I didn’t have any issues with the stock suspension. It actually performs pretty well, but I knew some upgrades were coming soon as I continue building the truck for more trail use.

Some early impressions:
  • The truck feels more planted at higher speeds
  • Small bumps and uneven terrain are absorbed much better
  • Steering and front-end feel more stable
  • The suspension feels more confident overall
I decided to go with King shocks because of their reputation for durability and performance both on and off-road. They’re known for handling rough terrain really well while still keeping the ride comfortable.

The Mazulla UCAs help improve suspension geometry when running aftermarket shocks and also provide better strength and articulation compared to stock control arms.

This setup should:
  • Improve suspension travel
  • Handle rough terrain better
  • Provide a smoother ride on trails
  • Prepare the truck for future upgrades
Really excited to test this setup on the trail soon and see how it performs compared to the stock suspension.

More updates coming soon as the build continues 🤙

Let me know if you guys are running Kings or other suspension setups on your 4th gens.

Looks great. Can't go wrong with King. Those matching uppers are pretty legit too.
