Dirt King Extended Travel Coilovers for 4th Gen Tacoma In The Works!!

Dirt King knocked it out of the park with this one, as always. DK launched their suspension a couple of years ago for the 5th Gen 4Runner and 3rd Gen Tacoma. Looks like they are moving fast on the 4th Gen Tacoma. Really stoked to see them moving quickly on the 4th Gen.

What suspension package are you guys looking at right now? Is DK in the running for you?

Up front, it’s on 2.5 DCA (dual speed compression adjusters) coilovers with remote reservoirs. I like the idea of being able to fine-tune the ride for daily driving and then stiffen things up for trails.

The kit is also running Dirt King 4130 upper control arms with all the new maintenance-free ProBearing silent spin inner bushings and outer ProBearing ball joints. These add strength and keep the geometry right once you lift it, which is huge if you’re planning to wheel hard without tearing through stock components.

Also, the new ProBearing silent spin bushings are incredibly quiet compared to a lot of the other poly and Delrin bushings on the market found on other UCAs.

Finally, looks like they have factory-length lower control arms mounted as well. This would be a very stout setup for the 4G Tacoma. Those lower arms are incredibly impressive.

In the rear, it’s got the +1 inch springs. That little bit of extra height would help with clearance and also keep things level once you’ve got gear in the back.

For me, this setup looks like the perfect balance between comfort and performance. Curious to hear from anyone running it how the ride feels on-road and if the springs change things much when unloaded.

Stoked to see all of these great options coming out on the market!

Hopefully, we see some long travel setups from DK in the future as well.

What are your guys' thoughts on this kit?
