Mace MFG Volume Knob

By far the most simple mod I've ever done and probably will do was replacing the volume knob with the billet Mace MFG knob. The sleek topo and billet construction adds a cool touch to a very plasticy interior. Was as easy as popping the stock one off and putting the new one on...30 second install.

Looks like I'll be doing this too. My OEM knob just broke! The plastic innards snapped off, making the knob unusable. I was going to see if warranty covered it but I said screw it, time to upgrade.

I believe all the knobs you see are covers, so you still need the factory knob underneath. Warranty should for sure cover this though.

How did the knob break? My Tacoma so far hit 9,000 miles in 7 months. So far no issues with the volume knob.

Mine is 11 months old with 23K. I don't know how it broke. I got in the truck one morning and went to push it when I saw it was crooked and barely on. It fell off in my hand and two plastic pieces from the inside fell out. Somehow the inner plastic tabs that hold the knob on broke.

No doubt this might be one of the simplest mods you'd ever carry out. This is a great choice for a volume knob. Looks great

Warranty definitely covers..I found that out when the guys that tinted my windshield broke the knob but didn’t tell me..(SCRUBS) but I called the dealership and they said it covered but all I have to do is setup an appointment and have them determine it..I think it’s a waste of time to go through that so I just bought it for $20 and popped it in myself..If it was $100 then I could see going through warranty but to down my truck for the day it was easier to just buy the knob.
