Silicone on roof rack bolts during installation?

I'm trying to personalize my truck some more, but I could use some ideas. I really like the rear view with the vibrant mud flap color and the Tacoma tailgate vinyl I added. I’ve put in fog lights and DRL fog light bezels, yet it still feels a bit too basic. What are some ways people have jazzed up the front and sides (other than a TRD grille)?

I would usually put a silicone on under the bolts during installation but I noticed the 4G taco has an OEM tape around the holes that seems to seal everything when tightened down.. anyone else know what I’m talking about? Should I take it back apart and add some?
