Test Fitting KC Gravity Titan Light Bar On My GFC Camper!

Hey guys, Figured I’d share some real-world feedback on the CBI Overland bolt-on rock sliders after actually running them off-road for a bit. Rock sliders are one of the first upgrades I’d recommend for the 4th Gen—especially if you’re planning to get off pavement at all. I’ve already put these through sand, dirt, and some rocky sections, and they’ve taken hits that definitely would’ve gone straight into the rocker panels. My Setup (For Context) Running these on my 4th Gen Tacoma with: 37” Mastertrack Badlands M/T Method 709 Bead Grip wheels Low profile CBI rack CODE: BRONZTACO ROAM storage boxes CODE: BRONZTACO Mostly desert + sand use This isn’t a “just installed” review—these have already seen real use. Fitment & Overall Look Fitment is honestly one of the best parts. They sit tight to the body, don’t hang too low, and don’t stick out too far. Keeps clearance where it should be but still usable as a step. Definitely gives the truck a more aggressive, functional look without being overbuilt. Build Quality Up close, they’re exactly what you’d expect: Solid steel construction Clean welds No flex at all Step plate actually has grip (even when dirty) You can already see in the photos where they’re taking dirt/debris instead of the body. Install (Bolt-On) Install was pretty straightforward: Bolts directly to factory frame No drilling or cutting Took about ~2 hours Only thing is they’re heavy—definitely easier with two people or a jack. Daily Use I actually use these a lot more than I expected day-to-day. Makes getting in/out easier Especially with the lift + 37s Step plate still works even when covered in dirt They sit a little higher than normal steps but feel way more solid. Off-Road Performance This is where they’ve already proven themselves. Taken direct hits Protected rocker panels and lower doors No flex or movement You can see from the dirt marks they’re doing exactly what they’re supposed to do. Biggest thing—once you have sliders, you stop worrying as much about obstacles. Wear So Far After a few runs: Powder coat has normal wear No issues structurally Everything still tight Exactly what I expected. Quick Pros / Cons Pros: True bolt-on Strong as hell Clean fitment Functional step Actually protects the truck Cons: Heavy Finish will wear over time Slightly higher step Final Thoughts Overall, super solid upgrade. If you’re planning to take your 4th Gen off-road at all, sliders are one of those mods that just makes sense early. These have already paid for themselves in avoided damage. What do you guys think? Yoooo. Beyond stoked to start sharing the lighting setup we're going to be installing soon.

I've got a truck load of KC lights going on this build. These are the nicest lights I've ever put on a truck so far, and I'll be sure to create individual threads and videos on everything as I wrap things up.

But... I got a GFC V2 Pro last summer. I knew I wanted to do something different. I've seen a few things mounted to the front of the camper, but never a light bar like this one.

I'm using the GFC Baja LP6 Mounts (click the linked text to check them out), which ended up working perfectly. No drilling or modification required.

Thinking of doing some custom cap/cover stickers for the KC logo. Bronze Oxide for sure, but maybe another red set to match some of my accents.
