4th Gen Tacoma Values Dropping FAST

So I am getting a new Tacoma and for giggles, I wanted to see what my trade-in was on my TRD ORP with 13K miles. It was $39K...I bought this 9 months ago for $52K. So essentially it has dropped $1K for every 1K mile I put on the truck! That is wild. I will sell it private party or I will do a raffle-based give away on my YouTube channel...but that is wild.

First off, I enjoy your You Tube channel and subscribed. I, like yourself had a 22 Tundra (leased) and was honestly disappointed with it. Didn't quite live up to my expectations even though I didn't have any issues with it. My dealership a couple weeks ago contacted me and offered to let me out of the lease early so I jumped at it. In it's place I leased a '24 Tacoma SR5 Dbl cab 4x4. Really like this one and may even buy it outright once the lease is up. Keep up the good work keeping the community up to date on mods and news. Wow . And I’m in the market to buy a new Tacoma off road premium next week.

On Reddit I heard people who got up to $5,000 below sticker. Many dealers are putting discounts from $2,500 to $3,000+ (except the trail hunter and the Pro).

What’s even more crazy is no news of the 2025 Tacoma. Although some dealers do have the upcoming 2025 in the “build phase”.

2025 will be an interesting year.

Never in my life would I expect dealerships to discount the new Tacoma so much.

Did this ever happen when the 3rd gen came out?

to answer your question, not that much of a discount on 3rd gens. i have had 3 3rd gens and i got them all at or just below msrp, like 1500 off at most.

I just purchased a 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road Premium today and the dealer discounted it $7200 so this is probably why trade in values look so off right now. It was not a demo nor a loaner vehicle as it had 12 miles on it. Loving it so far!!

A TRD JON tacoma as my first tacoma would be insane. My standards would be so high and my trip to colorado would be too fun.

I tried looking mine up but they did have any values for the at 24 Limited hybrid. I checked on a regular Limited non-hybrid and you are right. For my hybrid this past Aug, I could not get anything off. Maybe it's not as bad for the hybrid version for the demand was so high and still is I guess.
