Low Profile (LoPro) Bumpers for the 4th Gen Tacoma.. Which One is best?
Hey guys, wanted to draft up a thread on the top low-profile bumpers for the 4th Gen Tacoma. We're starting to see A LOT of options on the market, and I wanted to see what your thoughts were and which one you're potentially going with. There are lots of things to consider when looking at a low-profile bumper: weight, strength, steel vs. aluminum, winch compatibility, light cutouts, sensor compatibility, etc.
1: C4 Fabrication Lo Pro
The C4 Lo-Pro is one of the most rugged low-profile bumpers for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Built from 3/16" steel with fully welded 3/4" recovery D-rings, it comes in around 74 lb and gives you a high-strength, minimal design. It’s offered in black powder coat or bare steel if you want to customize, and it’s compatible with mostwinches that don’t have an integrated control box. The bumper is also set up around a pair of Baja Designs S2 lights. You can also add optional outer wings if you want more coverage and clearance.
Features
- 3/16" steel winch plate and brackets
- -74 lb
- Fits most 8–12k winches
- Mounts a pair of BD S2 lights
- Cutting required
- Optional outer wings for extra coverage
2: Cali Raised Stealth
The Cali Raised Stealth is a steel low-profile bumper for the 4th Gen Tacoma. It adds aggressive styling while giving you real functionality. One option that makes it stand out is the bolt-on bull bar. It’s a good add if you want more protection for the grille and radiator, especially if you’re running rocky trails with brush, crossings, or just want a spot to mount lights up higher. The bumper itself weighs about 77 lb and is built around a wide 32" light bar cutout. If you plan to run a winch, you’ll need the Cali Raised winch tray, and it isn’t compatible with TRD or Trailhunter skid plates.
Features
- Optional bolt-on bull bar
- -77 lb steel construction
- 32" light bar cutout
- Requires winch tray for winch
- Not compatible with TRD or Trailhunter skid plates
3: CBI Covert
The CBI Covert is all about flying under the radar. At first glance, it looks close to stock, but behind that clean fit, you’re getting the strength of a frame-mounted steel bumper. It’s built to handle winches up to 12k and comes with a 20" light bar slot for extra visibility. Full-strength recovery points are bolted into the frame, and you can add an optional bolt-on bull bar if you want more grille protection or a spot to mount lights higher. Weighing in between 55–85 lb, depending on setup.
Features
- Winch compatible
- 20" light bar slot
- Optional bolt-on bull bar
- -55–85 lb depending on setup
4: CBI Super Stock
The CBI Super Stock is possibly the sleekest low-profile bumper on the market. It only replaces the lower valence, keeping the Tacoma’s lines intact while giving you frame-mounted strength. There are no light cutouts integrated. It’s winch-ready, promotes easy access, and works perfectly with CBI’s skid plate packages. If you want a simple upgrade that adds real function without changing the truck’s overall look, this one nails it.
Features
- Replaces lower valence only
- Winch compatible with easy access
- No light cutouts
5: Ironman 4x4 Raid
This bumper is a serious upgrade if you're looking to add full frontal protection and winch capability. At around 120 lb, it’s more of a heavy-duty choice, but that comes with ADR crash-safety certification, recovery points rated for 11,000 lb, and a chassis-mounted winch cradle for maximum strength that doesn’t twist the truck. It includes built-in jack points, a cutout for an integrated LED light bar and auxiliary lights,.
Features
- Weighs about 120 lb
- Bolt-on, chassis-mounted winch cradle system
- Frontal recovery points (11,000 lb) and hi-lift jack points integrated
- ADR crash-tested (impact certified), compliant with safety regulations
- Built-in light bar and auxiliary light slots, plus factory sensor compatibility
6: Rago Fabrication Center Mount
The Rago Center Mount stands out with a more aggressive style than most low-profile bumpers. It tucks in tight, hides up to a 12k winch behind the face, and comes with a center slot for a 20" dual-row light bar. Recovery is handled by dual 1" CNC clevis mounts, so they’re built for real use. You can also add an optional 3/16" aluminum skid plate to extend protection under the truck.
Features
- Hidden winch mount
- 20" dual-row light bar slot
- Retains fogs, sensors, and ACC
7: DV8 Centric
If you want a rugged steel upgrade that still looks almost stock, the DV8 Centric Center-Mount bumper fits the bill. It uses beefy 3mm–5mm plate steel, keeps factory lighting, and lets you add a 20" single-row bar plus two 3" pods. There's a hidden winch mount, thick 1" D-ring tabs for recovery, and micro-texture black powder coat. It bolts up with minimal trimming and even includes zip-tie tabs for cleaner wiring.

- 3–5 mm heavy-duty steel construction
- Hidden winch mount for a clean front profile
- 20" light bar slot + two 3" pod cutouts
- Zip-tie tabs for clean wiring
8: Greenlane Stump
The Greenlane Stump is one of the lightest bumper options for the 4th Gen Tacoma. At only about 45 lb, it’s close to the weight of the factory crash bar but adds real protection and recovery strength. Built from aluminum with a 3/8" winch plate, 1/4" front plate, and 3/4" shackle mounts, it’s designed to keep weight down without giving up durability. There’s a cutout for a 20" single-row light bar, and it pairs cleanly with Greenlane or TRD skid plates for a full setup.
Features
- -45 lb lightweight aluminum build
- 3/8" winch plate, 1/4" front plate, 3/4" shackle mounts
- 20" single-row light bar cutout

9: NYTOP Hybrid
The NYTOP Hybrid brings a one-of-a-kind design to the 4th Gen Tacoma, replacing only the lower valance for a style upgrade that stands out while still adding strength. Built from 3/16" steel or available in aluminum to save weight, it bolts directly to the frame and crash bar with no cutting required. Dual 5/8" recovery points are rated to 11,000 lb with a bridle, giving you real pulling strength in a sleek package. If you want something different that changes the look of your truck without a full bumper swap, this is the option.
Features
- No cut design
- Recovery points
- Steel or aluminum construction
- Not a winch bumper
10: Victory 4x4 Blitz
The Victory Blitz is one of the lightest winch-capable low-profile bumpers you can run. Steel comes in around 71 lb, but the aluminum version drops to just 41 lb while still giving you recovery tabs, a 20" light bar mount, and winch capability. Simple, sleek, and lightweight this one is hard to beat if you want strength without loading down the front of your Tacoma.
Features
- 71 lb steel or 41 lb aluminum
- Hidden winch mount
- 20" light bar mount
- Works with TRD skid
