Hey Y'all,

As we all know, the 4th Gen doesn't have the same ground clearance as the previous models. And lets face it... we don't always choose the perfect lines, every time. The C4 Rear Diff Skid was our solution after a few trips through rocky terrain.

Install was quite easy. No instructions to speak of on the C4 website, but it's pretty cut and dry. Orientation is only one way, and the brackets that go over the rear axle can only go one way. The only thing to really watch out for is the placement of the collar that goes over the front of the diff near the axle. That can get a little cockeyed if you're not paying attention. Other than that, easy day.

You will inherently lose some ground clearance as a result of adding the skid plate. I'd say it's an inch or less. I'll take a little less ground clearance to avoid damaging the rear diff any day.

*Bonus points for not having to drop the diff cover to change the fluids.*

***Only available on NON-Hybrid models at this time. Manual transmissions are also excluded.***

Very nice! Coverage looks pretty solid. Now if only there was a compatible version for the larger rear axle...

It is very well covered. They took it as close to the drive shaft as possible.

That compatibility would be ideal with all the hybrids running the streets.
