I previously made a post asking for some CAI recommendations and got alot of positive feedback on the SXTH ELEMENT CPLT and ended up going with their intake!
Firstly, the install was super easy. Took about an hour in total. Sxth element had a really great YouTube install video (I'll link below) which made it a simple process.
I was initially a little worried about how open the intake was in combination with my Seibon Carbon Fiber hood as it has side ventilation that has open cut outs right above the intake that allows water to enter the engine bay. I was able to talk to the owner of the company about my concerns and he was able to assure me that it wouldn't cause any issues as their system allows for any moisture to drain out and that also the dry filters they use still work effectively even if they get wet so that was definitely reassuring!
As for power and sound, I definitely notice a slight difference in power especially in sport mode. The website claims up to 14 HP and TQ at the wheels and also doesn't require tuning unless you have the Trailhunter or TRD Pro. And as for sound, I can definitely hear the air intake although it doesn't produce as much of a high pitched whistling sound as it did stock. It's a different sound that I am not too sure how to describe lol but it still sounds great! Maybe someone on here that has one can do a better explanation of the sound difference
Overall super happy with it! Also love the look of it with the clear cover that let's you see through to the filter
Anyone else running their Intake?? Would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on as well!
