Just got the tie rods reinforcement sleeves in today from peak. These replace the jam nut and add some extra strength at the area that usually fails. I’ve seen plenty of tie rods bend and break so I want to be pro active with preventing that or being prepared, I have a set of replacements in my gear bag as well. I should be able to have them installed this week along with some other upgrades. I couldn’t find any HD tie rod solutions so this will work for now. Apex makes hd tie rods for the 3g but I reached out to them and they didn’t have an eta for the 4g. One of my buddies recommended keeping the weakest link or the fail point at an easier to replace part like the tie rods so I may just roll with them. I installed the new Delta Wing 270° awning by Ironman4x4 onto my GFC topper of my 4th Gen. this awning is freaking amazing! It has built in lights, rain pole, doesn’t require legs (but it has them) and has some Velcro on the sides to allow to make it into a room for privacy. This awning is also under $1K as well. I highly recommend it! It is huge though lol.
