- 2024 TRD Pro
I just wanted to share my recent experience with Westcott Design in Phoenix. I recently drove to their shop and had them install their rock sliders and their preload collar kit to give me just a bit more lift beyond what the Pro comes stock with (it added another 1.75" to the front and 0.75" to the rear). I also replaced the stock Goodyears with some 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers (I kept the factory TRD Pro wheels, as I actually dig the design and appreciated they come factory with a +20 offset, which allows for just a perfect amount of "poke" for my preference). I just have to say that Jeff at Westcott is just a solid, stand-up dude. I was a bit apprehensive that the preload would stiffen the suspension more than I'd like and perhaps sacrifice the 3-stage Fox dampening functionality of the QS3s. Jeff personally called me, explained how his preload collar is designed to preserve the factory suspension's geometry and at full compression won't bottom out as you would with a traditional spacer lift. Now that I've driven it with the mods for a bit, I can say that it legit feels better than it did stock - less body roll while turning and less "nose dive" while braking.
Here's a few pics of how it turned out - the paint is Underground, but in this lighting it almost looks Black. At some point down the road I may change to 17" wheels for more sidewall, but for now I'm content with the "stock +" look.
