2025 Tacoma TRD Offroad Long Bed Upgrade Package
I’ve been thinking about pulling the TRD decals off the bed of my 4th gen. I like the cleaner look without stickers, but I haven’t tried it yet.

Has anyone here already done it? Curious how tough they are to remove and if there’s any leftover residue or ghosting in the paint once they’re gone. Does it peel clean with heat, or is it a pain?

Debating if it’s worth the hassle, so would love to hear from anyone who’s actually done it.

I'm planning to remove as much as I can. Badges too. I did that on my 3G and other older builds. I think it looks way cleaner. Not that I necessarily hate these things.

For the removal of the decal, you'll need to use heat. Be careful not to use too much. Increase it in increments until you feel it coming off easier. Do not melt your clear coat and paint... You'll likely have a lot of annoying residue left. You can use a paint-safe liquid/spray adhesive remover to get it off. Just note, you'll likely scratch the paint a little in the area, even with a microfiber. It's just going to take some elbow grease to get it off. I watched a detailer pull one off for an off-road shop local to me, and he had to buff it after the fact. It will show more or less, depending on your paint color.

Gotcha! I actually also have the raised lettering on the back of my truck as well in grey... I really dont like it but it came with the truck from the dealership, wonder if I could take them off the same way

That's actually one thing I like in terms of badging, haha. But yes, those should also be attached with some kind of double sided tape, etc. But if that adhesive comes off in chunks, man... good luck clean it all out. You'll definitely end up with scratches unless you're really meticulous. And that would be a tougher area to buff. Mainly because it's all recessed. I'm not saying don't do it, but just keep that in mind. Maybe faster to pay someone to take it off. Or just leave it... lol.
