Sharing my Tacoma Headlights Replacement Experience and Cost: Quite Expensive but Warranty to the Rescue

So when we initially just got our truck new, like after a couple of days or so, I was doing a walk around, and I couldn't help but notice that on the DS headlight, some inner tint was missing. Hubby didn't see it as a big deal so we reached out to the sales rep and took the truck over for him to see.

Service looked at it and decided it was a blemish on the tint and filed a claim and order a new headlight. In no time, they had it replaced at N/C but the replacement cost was over $2000! Headlight was nearly $1600! Plus labor cost/taxes.

All I could say was, WOW..

We asked for an invoice after the repair, so we could know it was taken care and also, to be able to let owners know the cost range just in case anyone might be in a situation were warranty doesn't cover the expenses. Try your best to take care of your headlights folks, cause it's a costly replacement there.

That’s a lot. I upgraded my headlights and have no use for the stock ones.
