Trailhunter & TRD Pro - Is It Worth It? Maybe!

Wanted to address the pricing behind the Trailhunter and TRD Pro.

I understand that the price tags are expensive... but hear me out.

A new 2023 OR was running about 45k. Now, a similar 2024 OR (with better new Gen upgrades like interior) is in the low 50s (non-hybrid).

If you consider the amount of cash people pour into their rigs (high end suspension, wheels, tires, skids, etc.), you quickly get 20k deep into a truck.

So you're sitting right around the price of a new Trailhunter or PRO... And let's be honest. These two trims are more than enough for 95% of people. It's rare that you NEED those 35s and other expensive mods.

That said, with a factory warranty, no need to pay up front, I think both these models are well worth it. Building a Tacoma can easily break the 100k mark after you add parts. Maybe we need to consider where we are relatively speaking, to the average person. Prices might not be so outrageous after all...
