- 2025 Tacoma TRD Offroad
I’ve seen a lot of people asking about fitting 33’s on the 4th gen Tacoma without a lift, so I wanted to share my setup and experience.
Truck:
2025 Tacoma TRD Off-Road
Wheel & Tire Setup:
To make the 33x12.5 tires fit properly, I had to remove the front crash bars. After removing them, the clearance improved a lot and the setup works great.
So far:
I recently tested the setup on its first trail run, and the truck felt super smooth and stable with the bigger tires.
If anyone is considering 33’s on stock suspension, feel free to ask questions — happy to share more details

Wheel & Tire Setup:
- Wheels: Lock Off-Road Wheels
- Size: 17x9
- Tires: 33x12.5
- Suspension: Stock
To make the 33x12.5 tires fit properly, I had to remove the front crash bars. After removing them, the clearance improved a lot and the setup works great.
So far:
- No major rubbing during normal driving
- Good clearance while turning
- Truck still drives great on the road
