Added the new Side Storage LED Lantern

Finally got the new LED light that goes in the drive side storage spot. It comes in a little plastic cup that fits in the spot. Then the light twists and locks in to that. It is sealed so I can’t see what type of batteries it uses. But it looks good and fits well. It’s part number PT94435253.

It takes batteries, but they seem to be non replaceable.

It has 3 white settings and 1 red setting. It seems to be bright. Definitely bright enough to light up the engine or change a tire. (Made sure my phone didn’t use night mode)

Yep, probably not the best idea. But it looks cool.

Wireless charging, maybe? Seems odd to charge $130 that cant be charged with a cable or replace its battery.

I've seen a few people say that these will fit ok in that spot. Add a little Velcro to keep them from rattling around.

you can definitely replace the batteries. There is a seam running down the middle of the lantern, with two indentations (one on each side). gently push small screwdriver into the seam at the indentation location and the top of the lantern pops off. there are 3 rechargeable AA inside, however you can replace them with regular AAs

I searched that part number and it says it only fits 2025 Tacomas. While I think it would fit 2024s as well, can you please confirm your model year?

Yep mine is a ‘24 and it fits great.

I added a side lantern to my '25 for almost half the price of the OEM. This lantern is waterproof, rechargeable, has a strong magnet, comes with a carabiner and has a suction on the back so you can put this lantern anywhere. The light is super bright and has the option for a green or red light if needed.

I purchased the side storage case and then with gorilla tape and some metal washers, I taped the washers to the side storage case so the lantern, which has a magnet on the back doesn't rattle when driving.
