Tacoma
2025 TRD Sport 4x4
Hey all, my first post here!

I just got a new 2025 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 and I have been thinking about getting an AI-Box Lite so I can watch Netflix and YouTube on the 13in infotainment screen. I spend a lot of time at rig locations just waiting for my time to work. Some days I can spend as much as 8 - 10 hours waiting for the rig to be ready for me and when I am waiting it would nice to be able to watch some shows or YouTube. The number one system appears to be a product called AI-Box Lite which essentially turns your wired Car Play / Android Auto into a wireless version. Obviously the 2025 has wireless Car Play and Android Auto already baked in, so my question is whether or not the wired version still exists on the two USB-C plugs used for charging. The box requires a wired connection to the system to work, and I would hate to spend $160 only to find out the new Tacoma doesn't support it.

They list the 2024 Tacoma on their supported vehicle list, which I would assume also applies to the 2025 since they are largely the same, but again I would like some confirmation if anyone can provide.

Also, if anyone else has been using this product already and has any feedback on what they like/dislike about it, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

The product can be found here: https://onecarstereo.com/products/carplay-ai-box-lite
