Another option for bolt-on rock sliders that require no modifications to your rig are the CBI Offroad Overland Rocksliders. Ran their bolt-on tubular kick out sliders on my third gen and absolutely loved them. Easy to install and protected the truck while off-roading and from many door dings 
Available for 5ft. and 6ft. beds but unfortunately not compatible with 2wd models.
