Hey everyone!

Wrapped up my install and review video for my new intake. If you wanted to see the process, check it out! I made sure to shoot audio inside the cabin and inside the engine bay. Happy to answer any questions! Linked below.

Curious, other than the sound and the potential horsepower/torque gains. What does the system do to your fuel mileage? Also, does it really benefit to open up flow on the front side if I’m not opening it on the back side with a more open flow exhaust system? Thanks for the video.

I would say there's effectively no impact on fuel mileage. Maybe less since you want to hear the air/turbo, lol. But in general, I haven't noticed anything. And even with an exhaust system, I don't think it would be anything dramatic, if at all. I haven't heard of anyone saying anything. It seems (to me at least) knowing how to drive your vehicle so as to not burn excess fuel is the best way to go about it. What I mean is knowing when to get a little extra speed before a big hill, coasting when you can, avoiding flooring it, etc. I've seen some massive swings between users with stock trucks, let alone built ones. I saw some guy say he lost 2+ mpg from adding slightly heavier 33s, and not much else. Which is kind of crazy to me. I have a ton of weight on a big dumb truck with 37s, and I still average 16-17 pretty easily with semi-spirited driving. Best mod for MPG? Learn how your truck likes to be driven to save gas, lol. But at the end of the day, I stopped truly chasing MPGs a long time ago. But nice to be able to do what it does now, no doubt.

Thanks for your quick reply. I am new to the group. Looking forward to diving in head first and maybe providing some incite of my own as time goes on. I heard the same about the bigger tires.

I am looking to upgrade to a more aggressive tire (from stock TRD sport setup) on the stock wheel most likely for now? Any suggestions on that?

A solid AT with some more aggressive tread would work great. Can't go wrong with the Falken Wildpeak AT4W. Amazing tire. Long lasting, great traction, good looking pattern.
