Goose Gear Fully Loaded With My New 74Weld Parts

This morning I’m headed down to my local off-road shop to get all of my new 74Weld parts installed

I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while, and I’m seriously pumped to finally get everything on the truck. There’s a lot more coming on this setup too, and I’ll be breaking it all out in a few different threads because there’s no way this is going to fit into just one post.

This is only the start. I’ve got a lot to share once everything is installed, tested, and on the truck, so stay tuned if you’ve been curious about 74Weld or thinking about going a similar route on your own Tacoma.

It was raining this morning, but I still managed to pack the back seat with all of the new parts. Definitely not a small job either — the 74weld stuff is seriously stout. Wasn’t expecting that weight when I picked up the boxes haha.

Once everything is on, I’ll have a lot more to show.

congrats dude! let me know if you have any questions. aside from kristian at 74weld i might have the most portal miles on a 4th gen tacoma. if you’ve got a tuner make sure they help tune 1st gear right, out of the box tunes need some work for the great reductions you’re getting with portals. the different is significant.

I might not be the first tuned 4GT on portals, but I’ll be the best looking

I’m gonna retrofit this one. You lose like 4” of cab space bc it’s so high. I want it to be more flush with the bottom plastic.

Definitely will. They said they did for the space to circulate air for the hybrid system, but I would think the seats would prevent it more than a lower platform would. Have to do some digging first.
