New 2026 Tacoma TRD Pro Color Revealed: Wave Maker

Toyota just announced the 2026 TRD Pro exclusive color, and it’s a bold one—Wave Maker. This new shade of blue is bright, loud, and built to stand out, whether you’re on the trail or cruising through town.

The color was created by Toyota’s CALTY Design team. After a few years of earthy tones like Terra and Mudbath, they wanted to do something more extreme. Benjamin Jimenez from CALTY said Wave Maker was inspired by places most people haven’t explored—like icy landscapes and even outer space. It’s meant to capture that wild, adventurous spirit.

Wave Maker is the 11th special TRD Pro color, starting from Inferno back in 2015. You’ll be able to get it on the 2026 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia when they hit dealers in fall 2025.

It’ll have no problems fitting in down here in Miami. But no, too extreme of a color for my taste.

Once again, a cool Toyota color, but it's so loud that it's a harder sell. Maybe the most extreme colors are just attempts to generate impressions and create good PR... lol. Would have a hard time choosing this one, but I do like the shade of blue. Someone should do jetski/waverunner style graphics on it, like the 90s ones, when they buy one haha.

Yeah it's VERY loud. I think I would enjoy it for like a month, and then question my decisions. It's a cool color, but I feel like it would get annoying for a daily. Maybe not though. If it had some graphics and accents, it might start to come together.

Well said, if i had to wake up every morning and look at it in my garage id get sick of it. Hopefully in few seasons toyota will. Reveal a nice matallic dark green
