Running 5G OEM TRD Pro Wheels On 4G - Lug Nut Issues

So... we tested a set of OEM 5th Gen TRD Pro wheels on my 4G Tacoma. This was done preemptively for a customer at my buddy's shop.

With the hub adapter (required since the hub bore on new gen Tacoma is smaller, all other specs are the same), it cleared the calipers and had a good amount of poke. Still a positive offset (I believe its a +4) but a lot less positive than the Tacoma OR wheels. So it had a nice poke relatively speaking.

However, there's an issue. The 4G has larger lug nuts. Both in overall diameter and thread pitch. So the lug nuts that are required do not fit. There is no option that works, even in the aftermarket.

The only real way to fit something like this (due to lugs and flat mounting surface for them) is to run a conversion spacer that goes from the larger 4G lugs, to the smaller 3G ones. This is safe and effective, but they are more costly since it's a bit more custom and you end up with more offset/poke. Might not be ideal for those not looking for tire poke.

They look great, but a bit tougher to fit. For most applications, this will not work unless you want to put in the extra time/money.
