Trailhunter Off Roading at X Overland’s Ranch

Been getting used to the IsoDynamic seats in my TRD Pro and figured I’d see what everyone else thinks. Here’s where I’m at so far: Pros: Way more comfortable off-road than I expected — they actually do save your back. Your head doesn’t bounce all over the place, makes it easier to stay locked in on the trail. Being able to dial in the firmness is a nice touch. They feel solid without being super heavy or bulky. Honestly they’re just kind of quirky and cool — feels like one of those features people will look back on in a few years and go, “remember when Toyota put shocks in the seats?” Cons: Backseat legroom definitely takes a hit. They’re pretty snug — bigger folks might not love the bolstering. Headrests don’t move at all. Only manual recline, would’ve been nice to have power adjust. Not sure how the shocks will hold up long-term with dirt and dust. Couple questions for everyone else: Anybody found any hidden tricks or “Easter eggs” with these yet? What PSI are you running? I’ve seen people throw around numbers like 60/15 for crawling and 70/20 for faster stuff. Curious what’s actually working out there. I think im running 60/20 right now and havent had any issues. So far I’m liking them, just interested to see how everyone else is setting theirs up.

I was recently out at X Overland’s ranch in Montana. Toyota hooked them up with over 17 Toyotas for their event for guests to off road on their course. I was lucky enough to be able to take out one of the new Trailhunter Tacomas out on their trail that XOverland has built out one the backside of their property.

The Trailhunter handled the right trail with ease and the high flow air intake makes all the right sounds.

I got to off road a white TH and lemme tell you, the white pops with the bronze! If I was to get myself one of these trucks, I think that’s the color combo I would go with.
